Rainbow Pediatrics welcomes new patients. We look forward to developing a partnership with you to meet the needs of you and your child.

We are accessible by phone during business hours (M, T, W, THUR,& F 8am-5pm and 8:30am - 12:30 on Saturday).  After these hours, we have an answering service that will take your call and forward it to the provider on call in the evenings and weekends.  For problems that come up overnight, we offer same day telemedicine and in house visits.

Convenience

We have same day telemedicine and in house appointments for acute or sudden illnesses which have happened overnight.  During the COVID pandemic, we are not offering walk in visits.  Please call our office to schedule same day appointments.  We are conveniently located on Court Street within walking distance of all 3 schools.

Quality

All physicians are Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and are members of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  Our Nurse Practioners hold Masters degrees in nursing and are Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and are member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.  All of our providers are highly skilled and are certified in Neonatal Resuscitation and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Excellence

Our providers and staff are committed to deliver the highest level of healthcare and support for you and your family. We believe there is no greater privilege or trust than to provide care for your children.

Caring

If a problem arises outside of our normal office hours, there is always a doctor on call 24 hours a day.

National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) Certificate of Recognition

Our office is a level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home. This is the highest rating that practices can receive.  We are proud to be one of the very few pediatric practices in the region to have received this prestigious award.

As part of being a Patient Centered Medical Home, we encourage our families to see the same provider for all well visits and even sick visits, if scheduling permits. We believe the best care is given to a patient when there is an on-going relationship between the provider and family.

Participation

We participate with many insurance companies. We encourage you to contact your insurance company to assure that we are considered "in network".

On your first visit to our office, you will be asked to fill out some intake paper work at the time of your first visit. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment, and bring your current insurance card with you. This will help us expedite your insurance verification and help us get you seen a lot quicker!

Save time and fill out the new patient forms now and bring them with you to your first visit with us.

You will need to fill out (available for download at the bottem of this page, on the left-hand side):

•Patient Registration Form
•Consent to Treat
•Payment Policy
•HIPAA (Health Information Privacy and Portability Act) notification of health care privacy

Policies must be completed and signed once every year.

Meet & Greet Appointments

We are currently accepting new patients at Rainbow Pediatrics. If you would like to come in to meet us, we offer meet-and-greet visits at no charge. To schedule a meet and greet, please call 802-388-1338 to schedule a visit with one of our providers.  At that time, you may receive information regarding our practice.  To the left are a few of the informational sheets that we often give new parents.

Registration materials are available in the left-hand column and are discussed more above.  Our new patient welcome flyer is also available for download on the left-hand column.

Child Development

We have a strong commitment to your child's development and well-being.  We offer many resources in the office and on the website (please click on the Current Patients tab on the bottom right hand side of the screen) pertaining to child development and well-being.  One resource that we believe is especially important is the Harvard Center on the Developing Child.  This resource is a collaborative effort across the Harvard University Graduate Schools and affiliated healthcare system that focuses on "improving life outcomes" for children.  There is an excellent multimedia presentation on this website regarding Core Concepts in Early Development that can help you understand how your child's earliest experiences can help to develop their brain architecture.
